COVID Testing Center Updates Test Schedule
04.16.21
Given the significant decrease in cases and community transmission both at LMU and in L.A. County, the LMU COVID Testing Center updated its testing policy effective Sunday, April 18. Now, all LMU individuals in the mandatory surveillance testing program will only need to test once per week, or as defined by their unique schedule for those in the gray group (including student-athletes).
Over the past two and half months, COVID cases on campus have decreased and remained steady. The university’s aggressive surveillance COVID testing program, administering approximately 1,700 tests per week, has resulted in a 0.05% campus positivity rate for February, March and April (to date).
LMU will continue to actively monitor the campus positivity rate as well as L.A. County transmission levels, and remain aligned with current trends. Further adjustments may be made, as trends continue to evolve.
