Celebrating the Class of 2021
LMU will host the 109th Commencement Exercises at SoFi Stadium on July 31, 2021. We are also thrilled to invite the Class of 2020 to join the Class of 2021 for this joyous occasion and to honor these momentous milestones. Read LMU President Timothy Law Snyder's letter.
While July 31 represents the traditional cap-and-gown ceremony, degrees will officially be conferred in May to ensure graduates can continue to pursue their educational, personal, and professional ambitions prior to the celebration. Please see below for Undergraduate and Graduate Conferral of Degree celebration information.
Conferral of Degree Celebrations
The Class of 2021 and their families are invited to mark the conferral of degrees at a virtual celebration May 8 and 9 (Loyola Law School May 16). This does not replace the official Commencement celebration July 31 and about which more details will be shared in the coming days. The May celebrations will feature pre-recorded video messages, a Shout-Out Wall, and personalized slides for each graduate. In addition, the colleges and schools will hold virtual gatherings with their students and dean to celebrate this important degree conferral milestone.
Events and Ceremonies
While in-person Commencement will be held July 31, LMU is hosting dozens of events, award ceremonies and celebrations now, as we recognize the achievements of our graduates. Explore what's available in our comprehensive Events & Ceremonies schedule.
