Self Study Process

In August 2022, the provost – with the advice and endorsement of the Faculty Senate Executive Committee – appointed and charged a WSCUC Reaccreditation Steering Committee that included faculty representatives from each school or college, as well as administrators and staff from Finance, Information Technology Services, the William H. Hannon Library, Student Affairs, the President’s Office and the Provost’s Office. The Steering Committee then began a process of data collection that engaged a wide range of individuals and offices across the institution. In fall 2023, the committee drafted components of the self-study with links to the supporting evidence provided by the LMU community.

The process of vetting these draft components occurred between Jan. 1, 2024 and May 1, 2024 and involved meetings with leadership groups (e.g., President’s Cabinet, Dean’s Council, Faculty Senate); meetings with constituencies with expertise in focal areas of the report (e.g., Undergraduate Core Curriculum Committee, Committee on Excellence in Teaching, Faculty Library Committee); unit level feedback processes led by each of the cabinet members; engagement with the Faculty Senate; and the opportunity for all members of LMU community to review draft components and provide feedback through updates shared in the campus newsletter LMU This Week and via the WSCUC Reaccreditation website. Throughout spring and early summer 2024, the Steering Committee incorporated this feedback into this report.

Self-Study Report

LMU’s self-study report was submitted to WSCUC in July 2024 and provides evidence, analysis, and a conclusion regarding the university’s fulfillment of WSCUC’s Standards, demonstrating our commitment to inclusive student success. The self-study report is available for review by members of the LMU community.
