LMU and the SEIU Local 721 Non-Tenure Track (NTT) bargaining unit met today for the second bargaining session continuing the collective bargaining process in a collaborative discussion. The meeting included the presentation of new proposals by the NTT bargaining unit, along with discussions on key topics.
The LMU team expressed that establishing a first-ever collective bargaining agreement will take time, given the complexity of discussions, opportunities to learn, and collaboration required. LMU remains committed to engaging with the NTT unit in good faith throughout the process.
Proposals
The NTT bargaining unit presented 10 proposals. No decisions were reached at this stage. The university appreciates the effort of the NTT bargaining unit in preparing and presenting the proposals, and will review them in continuation of working toward a collective bargaining agreement.
Bargaining Meeting Schedule
The next bargaining session will be scheduled for February 14.
Updates will continue to be shared on LMU's Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Bargaining website as negotiations continue and we work collaboratively towards a contract that advances our collective efforts to provide a world-renowned education for our students.
