Update on February 14, 2025 Bargaining Session

02.14.25

LMU and the SEIU Local 721 Non-Tenure Track (NTT) bargaining unit met today, Feb. 14, 2025, for the third bargaining session as part of the ongoing process toward a first collective bargaining agreement. The meeting included the presentation of 10  new proposals by the NTT bargaining team, along with discussions on key topics such as a labor management committee, grievance and arbitration, and union security.

Proposals

The NTT faculty bargaining unit has now presented 26 proposals. The university is reviewing the latest proposal submissions.

Both the NTT unit and the university had acknowledged that the initial bargaining session dates were scheduled to allow the NTT unit to present its proposals before spring break, with the express understanding that the university would receive proposals before the university begins its own presentations.

The university plans to begin presenting its proposals at the next collective bargaining session, scheduled for Feb. 21.

Updates will continue to be shared on LMU’s Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Bargaining website as negotiations progress, reinforcing our shared commitment to providing a world-class education for our students.
