Shelly Storbeck

Shelly Weiss Storbeck co-founded Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates in 2007 and is Managing Partner of the East Coast practice. She has one of the most widely recognized names in higher education search, having recruited senior leaders for America's most prestigious colleges and universities. Most recently, she has conducted presidential searches for Carnegie Mellon and the University of Wisconsin, and Bates, Denison, Haverford, and Swarthmore colleges. In her career she has conducted more than 500 searches for public and private universities, colleges and schools, and nonprofit associations and organizations.

Before founding Storbeck/Pimentel, Ms. Storbeck was the Managing Director of the education practice of A.T. Kearney, an international search and consulting firm. Before joining A.T. Kearney, Ms. Storbeck was a senior associate and administrative officer of the education practice at Korn/Ferry International.

Ms. Storbeck writes, speaks and consults on issues relating to higher education across the United States. She has served as chair of the American Council on Education (ACE) Executive Search Roundtable and is a member of the ACE National Identification Program. Prior to entering the search industry, Ms. Storbeck served as Assistant to the President for Educational Affairs at Haverford College. In that post, she gained experience in all senior administrative searches and chaired Haverford's Middle States Accreditation Process.

Ms. Storbeck taught English at the Baldwin School (Bryn Mawr, PA) and English and religion at Phillips Academy (Andover, MA). She is a member of the Modern Language Association and is also a former member of the Yale Parents Annual Fund.

Anne Coyle

Anne Coyle conducts searches for leadership, academic, and managerial positions for a wide variety of educational institutions, including private and public colleges and universities and independent schools.

Anne has more than 20 years of experience in executive search, higher education, business, and government. Prior to joining Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates, she spent several years with an international search firm, where she focused on educational searches. Prior to that, she was the director of admissions at the Yale School of Management. Before Yale, Anne spent five years with a boutique search firm in New York, specializing in nonprofit searches. Earlier in her career, she managed McKinsey & Company's efforts to recruit scientists, engineers, doctors, and lawyers. Anne also directed admissions at Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management. Her public policy experience ranges from having served as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Senate Budget Committee to working on human resource and budget issues for New York City's Mayor Ed Koch.
